We welcome you to participate in a great opportunity to bring your love of the Healing Tao into action!
The HTIA is going to hold a general election for new board members.
This is an extremely valuable way for each of us to serve the Tao and benefit the growth of the Healing Tao in the Americas.
We'll now have elections every year, electing 1/3 of the Board's Directors, as there are one, two and three year terms.
If you have haven’t been involved for a while we warmly welcome you back! In order to apply, nominate or vote, please pay your membership dues, making you an active member by Dec. 1, 2014. The dues are now only $45 USD.
EVERYONE is invited to "nominate" themselves, with the exception of current sitting board members. Please don't be afraid to join the board for lack of "political" experience or because you're just an associate instructor. The Nominating Committee (see names listed below) will choose who they feel are the strongest 12+ applications and then those will be put on the ballot.
Please read the instructions at the end of this email for directions on how to apply.
Joining the board will not be a huge time-consuming job. Typically a board will meet six times a year by phone conference. It is expected that all members will help out on committee work, which is fun and helps everyone get to know each other while performing good service such as mentoring new instructors, helping market everyone, work on website, etc.
We look forward to your participating in the continued RENEWAL of the HTIA! If you do not feel you can manage joining the board, please encourage your friends/fellow HTIA members to do so.
We are proud to announce that we have 4 current Board of Directors members that have one year remaining on their Directorship terms of office and have agreed to stay on to facilitate an easy transition for our new board members. They are: Minke deVos, Steven Sy, Dr. Linda Berry, and Janette Nutis. We know everyone will enjoy becoming more acquainted with them.
Thank you so much for your support of HTIA!
